Well seeing as love is the best thing in the world.

What are your opinions on the matter?

I think it takes time to truly love someone. You can be attracted immediately but it can be quite superficial until you get to know the real them. You have to know everything, all their little faults and imperfections and love them for those and not in spite of those to know its truly truly love.

Love - Takes time to grow so it all depends on the individuals involved imo.

From personal experience, my OH said that he knew I was "the one" when he first saw me... I on the other hand thought he was not really my type, but 26 years on we are still together so imo its not a one size fits all kinda thing.

Thats the only way to describe it, luckily the feeling was mutual but it didn't last.
I've heard a phrase that summed it up ' A flame that burns so bright will eventually burn itself out'

I was in love with my husband from the off. It wasn't just attraction, I think you know when something is perfectly right and luckily for me it was reciprocated. Despite the fact we didn't get as long as we should have, I know I was really lucky to have had him for as long as I did.

It was like I had always known him, and there was that (cheesy I know) we were the only 2 people in the room thing....

Soul mates... Yes I suppose. I do think there are people that are a perfect fit in every way, that goes way beyond physical attraction. Although I do think physical attraction is also important initally.

Definitely pretty instantly. No one will ever convince anyone else of that fact though. You have to live and experience it for yourself.

mmmm at the end of the day "love" is a word, what I consider love to be and what someone else considers love to be could be miles a part. I think though, especially at the start of a relationship that whole really intense feeling isn't actually love, it's when that starts to even out is when you really discover if it's love or not.................in my opinion of course!

I've felt it twice in my life, met someone who I instantly clicked with, neither was my sons dad, he was wrong for me in every single way but that's straying off the point.

The first time with Lee, we worked together and got on from the first day, but he lived with someone so it was a no go. We all used to socialise together on Friday nights and we'd pretty much be off in our own little bubble. Everyone used to comment on it. Anyway, he was leaving to go work elsewhere and at his leaving do we kissed, outside. He hugged me for ages and then said he wasn't coming back in, he'd call it a night. He just walked away. I never saw him again.

The second time was also a work colleague but it was one sided, so although I felt intense about him he wasn't feeling it so it fizzled out. But it was strong.

That's about it really.

He knows Kizzy... he turned it round quickly though, we moved in together after 4 months and I asked him to marry me...so to anyone out there who feels their love is unreciprocated keeping trying, you may get there in the end...
