Not true. It's all about the dogma. You could never get a Jainist (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jainism) to bomb an abortion hospital, or fly a plan into a building.
Unless there is validation in the scriptures (which there are with the Abrahamic monotheisms), then there is no where for religious extremists to hide.
The scriptures of of Judaism/Christianity/Islam are appalling documents, written by ignorant people before we knew any better.
