In the course of his job duties over his career he has physically assaulted someone, threatened to kill his boss, faked a divorce, threatened assorted celebrities (many far more famous than him and whom he will never meet) via Twitter, faked blackmailing his wife, shopped a sex tape and negotiated with a porn company. He's fine with all that, but brooding and being a passive aggressive pain in the ass for a few weeks made him feel bad? Really? It made him more remorseful than alienating his wife from her entire family for years?
