Bisexuals are attracted to females & males.

Pansexuals are attracted to females & males plus people who are transgendered. So for example a bisexual might not find a pre op female to male desirable, but a pansexual would.

Criticising somebody for the way they feel about their sexuality, preferences, how they feel about themselves and any such labels they wish to give to it as means of an identity seems just as bad as any other form of sexuality based prejudice to me, and for those who may be struggling to understand and discover themselves I find it quite worrying and disgusting that people can throw around insensitive accusations and 'evaluations' of something they have absolutely no understanding of. I don't think it'd be acceptable if it were directed at asexuals, so why is this any different?

As Claudia alluded, although bisexuals do fancy both males and females (to differing degrees, of course), pansexuals are pretty much the same, exact that the meaning is a bit more literal and they genuinely see people as people, regardless of gender.

It's like being a transexual. Bisexual people generally wouldn't do that, but pansexual people would.

It's practically the same thing, just a little more extreme.

Why would I want to be "different", all I've ever wanted to do is try and fit in somewhere, how I feel is natural unfortunately. So much for no stereotyping.

I don't understand the term but id genuinely like to know, but a transgender person is still a male or female?? do you mean that pansexual people can fancy genderqueer people and adrogynous people, who dont exactly want to be either gender

I genuinely wouldn't care though and I'd still classify myself as bi... Fair enough if you don't think you're bi, I just really don't see much difference

Would these type of comments be allowed? No, I don't think they would...so why do you think yours are? Don't comment on things you have absolutely no understanding of, it's ignorant and in such an insulting manner, rude. Who are you to comment on other people's feelings and preferences and the way they feel about love, sex and attraction? Unless you were lucky, then I'd imagine you'd have some understanding about how it must feel to question yourself, discover yourself and learn to accept yourself as bisexual. Well it's no different for someone who wishes to identify themselves as pansexual. Stop being so insensitive.

There's nothing wrong with enquiring or taking an interest in something. I find sexuality fascinating, but I don't go around with such a narrow-minded, predetermined view and then go and make insulting remarks on things I don't understand. I keep an open-mind. These are people's feelings, have a bit of respect.

Plus Heterosexuals/homosexuals could still fancy a transgender person.. for instance a hetero person with a preference to girls could still fancy a trans post op girl idk

Anyway Pansexuality
"pansexual people may be sexually attracted to individuals who identify as male or female; however, they may also be attracted to those who identify as intersex, third-gender, androgynous"

I've always understood pansexuality to be a thing where the individual is more about the emotional connection to the other person rather than the physical (although they enjoy the physical side too)? I remember looking it up on Wikipedia a while ago and it said pansexuals are 'gender blind' in a sense. I suppose it's difficult to separate from bisexuality at first because of the similarities but they really are two different things.

It's very difficult defining the term but that's basically it. I suppose the clue would be derived from the other term/synonym, omnisexuals. Male, female, androgynous, intersex, male to female transsexual/transgendered, female to male transsexual/transgendered, hermaphrodite, etc.

They're basically gender-blind in that sense. Bisexual people would probably draw a line somewhere.
