I've written two different ones, just toying with which to send/how to edit them.

Is it possible if I could go over the limit by 20 words or so please? It's difficult to cut they aren't essays by any standards, just hard to cut back

Well I don't see why not, if the rules can be relaxed to let someone write a candidates speech....
