Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a complete nutjob for a contestant. In fact some of my very favourites are the crazies (Shane of Panama, Rupert of Pearl Islands, Tarzan of One World) but... I dunno how to put it, like I feel that the contestants I've mentioned really delivered on being crazy in most of their respective episodes. With Phillip it's more like we get a mundane monologue that really isn't relevant or interesting in any way and not only that but it's really shoved in our faces when it's not necessary. I can list plenty of moments from the contestants I've mentioned that have been memorable but with Phillip I remember his feather (probably the only mildy funny thing) and racist accusations. Sure, he's nuts, but I don't think he's as nuts as people make him out to be, and when he does do something nuts it's either forced or just uncomfortable.

LemonJam hit the nail on the head as usual. Sorry but there's nothing entertaining about someone donning a faker than faux fur personality that's so damn transparent and forced. It's repetitive and tedious and I truly can't comprehend that that people believe any part of his wannabe Coach shtick, especially after he admitted in interviews that it was fake. At least Coach was consistently the Dragon Slayer. Phillip went from secret agent to Bushido code preacher to ~great great grandfather Jessem Herring~ collecting feathers and bull**** and none of those have anything to do with each other whatsoever.
Everyone hates RI but loves Phillip and that's ridiculously contradictory considering he's the reason why the season's so bad. It goes with the same logic that BB12 is the worst season ever but Aaron's the most deserving winner but that's for another thread. He suffocated any attempt at overthrowing Boston Rob and crossed so many lines along the way involving racism and sexism. And it doesn't help that Jeff Probst ****ing enables the **** out of him by trying to pass Phillip off as representative of American society. Like, tweeting "This is real, this is ~~~~~~~~Survivor~~~~~~~~~~" during Rice Wars as if the situation actually represented some race dichotomy was a low point for the show and was actually repulsive. And the fact that this ****ing graphic made its way onto the Facebook page  Survivor's hit such a ****ing low it's embarrassing.

I'm on the fence with Philip, I can't help but feel he will make the final. And being annoying on purpose is a good tactic.. However he might not be doing it on purpose

It's only a good tactic to play for second place, which is exactly what he did in RI. He was perfectly secure as a bottom feeder and did absolutely nothing to change his position.
