Remembering Kerry

No, I have kept in touch so far with all those I would call friends, a good few are at other Uni's but we keep in touch and meet up a few times too, when I go home I always seek out my friends I have always had.
I am only 21 so it is likely things will change as time goes on but I hope not. |

I've nearly finished my second year at uni now but I still keep in touch with loads of my high school/sixth form friends. There's a close group of about 12 of us.
I don't speak to them too much when i'm at uni and the last time we were all together was New Years, but as soon as we're all back for holidays, it's like we've never been apart. I think if you're really great friends and have been for a long time, then all it takes is a little bit of effort to organise a few get togethers. As soon as we're back, the first thing we do is book a carvery. ![]() ... or decide where we're having Chinese and movie night. Last edited by james130; 17-03-2013 at 09:54 PM. |

I'm still friends with lots of my school friends - but you can never really predict who's gonna drop off the radar... some people I counted as my close friends at school completely disappeared and that was that, and sometimes you get to know people better after you leave school - one of my best friends from school, we only became proper friends once we'd left school and ended up living together for a year too. You grow up and times change, I don't think there's anything wrong with leaving school friends behind or staying in touch with them - so long as you have people to hang out with, that's the main thing. I feel sad for the people who've said they don't really have anyone to speak to in this thread...

I don't keep in touch with anyone from school, mainly because I didn't really have any friends there. I keep in touch with people from uni and I have a very small handful of close friends who I trust and who I know I can call on for anything, and they can call on me too. Making friends is hard and fraught with danger because 9 times out of 10, people will let you down.
