Lindsay Lohan has denied stealing items from the set of Anger Management.

Show sources alleged to TMZ that the actress took clothes and jewellery when she filmed a recent guest spot on the comedy series.

She was said to have decided to go out clubbing after filming and wore a bracelet, a necklace, earrings, trousers and shoes from the show's wardrobe.

Lohan has now apparently told friends that she thought producers would just deduct the value of the items from her salary, insisting that the wardrobe department gave her permission.

However, TMZ insiders have questioned this claim, asserting that Lohan walked off with the items before any arrangement was reached.

The 26-year-old was also described as "the biggest prima donna ever on Anger Management".

Insiders claimed that she was a "nightmare" to work with, turning up on set two hours late, refusing to leave her trailer and leaving early to go partying. The crew apparently erupted in applause after she had gone.

Other sources recently praised the star for her behaviour on the Anger Management set, reporting that she was well-prepared and "incredibly nice".

Earlier this month, Lohan appeared in court to face charges of reckless driving and lying to police. She agreed to spend 90 days in rehab as part of a last-minute plea deal to avoid serving jail time.

Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael Lohan has said that he doesn't think his daughter should be in charge of her own affairs and that he wants a conservatorship for her.

He also said that he does not want to be put in control of her life.

He told Now magazine: "Lindsay's life is out of control. She's living at friends' places, not working and has no-one good standing by her.

"I'd raise the motion of a conservatorship but I don't want control of her money - are you kidding? I'd want the court to appoint the appropriate people."

Lindsay has just been ordered to spend 90 days in a rehab facility after she was charged with lying to authorities about being behind the wheel of her car in a California accident last June. This violated her probation for her jewellery theft case from 2011.

Michael said: "What the judge has done with an order for 90 days in lockdown is a good thing - Lindsay needs to get her life back on track. The problem is, they gave her until May 2 to find a place.

"They should've put her in a facility immediately. Lindsay needs daily therapy to address her problems. She needs to be given the chance to get better under supervision.

"I won't stop shouting for my daughter to get help. If you want to save her life, put her in rehab now. If she doesn't go, the consequences are unthinkable."
