The Voice UK co-host Holly Willoughby is current costing the show more than £1,000 a second on air.
The blonde beauty has barely been seen on the show this year, to the point that last night’s blind audition episode saw her on screen for just 25 seconds. With a £400,000 fee, it means that Holly is pocketing an impressive £67,200 for every minute’s appearance. And her co-host Reggie Yates hasn’t exactly been in the face of viewers either, with one fans asking: “Are Holly and Reggie even in #TheVoiceUK this year…” Another viewer joked: “She left DOI for this, lol. Hope she gets some more screen time soon or it was a bad move.” It was reported last year that Holly was unhappy after being edited out of the first series too. “After watching the first episode, Holly joke that she came across like a bit part,” a source said at the time. Of course, the main reason for the hosts on The Voice is the live shows, which kick off in June. But with just three live finals this year, compared to six last series, it does mean that bosses are still paying an awful lot for very little. |
