I don't think that's correct. Image rights are paid by the club, because it will have to be taken from use of his image. He will have a separate deal with Nike, who are his sponsors.
Any deals incorporating image rights, are taken from the club.
If I find 10 links from websites saying he's on 250k/week will that mean that I'm right? Because I could go and do that.
Your key piece is resting on image rights, and if that is any way related to Nike, then he has 2 deals with Nike? Doesn't make sense.
