Remembering Kerry

Quote:
I have in fact come over to the Labour party side as to politics from a Conservative/Lib Dem supporter position myself and no I wouldn't trust Clegg or in fact near all the Lib Dem MPs at present. They threw out all they stood for in the 2010 election after getting the votes to go into coalition with the Conservatives and get 5 years of shared power and a few miserable ministerial positions. Nothing wrong with going into coalition with the Conservatives at all but what they gave up as to their policies and the heartless policies they have supported now is very wrong in my view. Now they will adjust their position so they can easily join a coalition with Labour and likely then spend near 5 years voting to get rid of much of what they supported fully with the Conservatives over the last 3 years. The Lib Dems and Clegg in particular are political parasites in my view, latching on to anything and anyone that will get them a share of power, what they stand for meaning little to achieve that. Nick Clegg will be gone after the next election, the Lib Dem vote will be well down and they will lose a large number of seats,Clegg will likely resign and clear off to a well paid position in Europe. The road then clear for a Labour/Lib Dem coalition if Labour fail to get an overall majority. I personally would never trust the Lib Dems now and I voted for them in 2010, I have always thought as this parliament neared the end of its 5 years in power that they would start to move well back from Conservative policy and that appears to be starting to happen. I am just pleased the AV vote failed in 2011 now and after seeing the hypocrisy and loss of credibility and political integrity as to the Lib Dems I doubt I would support any pr vote in the future now. As I said in answer to your question, I wouldn't want to be in the same room as Nick Clegg let alone share power with him. I won't believe a word he says again. |
