They are so diligent in cases where they are working too for our minimum wage as it is almost three times theirs, I think there was an article on is a while ago. It will seem like a fortune to them to earn what we call a pittance, it is humbling.

Yeah usually, they know they will work for less, so they pay them less. I think this is why you usually see a lot of foreigners working in food places/local small shops/etc. In some cases though, the worker isnt actually allowed to work in this country..so both the employer and the worker are getting a good deal :S
