yes people need to get a grip and sit down and shut up or should we all go and blame some muslim family and burn their house down.

soldiers and their family's know the risks more so in Ireland
I give you know one can be prepared for a killing like this.
Losing a soldier as a result of battle is one thing. Having him hacked to death in a London street is another. I lost my husband as a result of wounds received in Afghanistan. That was hard enough to cope with, I will never get over it, and trust me, although you are aware of the risks you are never prepared to lose the man you love when you still have your whole life in front of you. However, what this soldier's family will have to deal with is beyond my comprehension. They've already seen pictures of his dead body plastered all over the news, flashed all round the Internet, and diminished by people like you who think people should get a grip and come to terms with this kind of atrocity.

livia im truly sorry you have had this happen to you, for the family of this soldier they will be devastated and for anyone who has lost a loved one thru being murdered.
but we live in a dangerous world.
the images of these events are not under any ones control anymore, and I cant see it changing.

Really appropriate post Livia and full of fact and sensitivity too. I agree with all you have said.
For me, since this barbaric murder was made known last night, all I can think of is the truly horrific end to his life this Soldier had but to also just try to think too how his family must be feeling.

If this were my Brother, cousin friend or for that matter even anyone I just knew,I haven't a single idea how I would start to cope with this.
For his family it must now be a long running living nightmare of the worst possible scale.

(Shark Attack put feeling nauseous in their post above, that is also very appropriate,I feel that every time as more and more of this horror is made known).

Really strong thoughtful post Livia, very well said.
