Most of what I do is helping organisations to put bids and tenders together to either win business from, or provide opportunities to supply services to other organisations.

My mom was in acquisitions and contract management. sounds kinda similar.

The contract management side definitely is. I have no involvement with acquisitions because I don't work for a company (as such), but if the bids that I put together are successful then, those services/contracts need to be managed. I manage the permanent healthcare recruitment side of the contracts that I deal with, but that's an add on rather the main focus.
