It's actually kinda cruel. clearly the dog thinks the toy is real, and she seems genuinely upset by it.

Ive seen other cases on reddit of dogs that believe that a stuffed animal is a real animal that's dying, even they adopt it as their own child and try to nurse it back to life. and they actually get violent sometimes trying to protect it. It's very disturbing.

I know there's also documented cases of penguins that will find a rock and care for it as an egg. I remember a gay penguin couple doing that before. And it's so sad. Animals actually do have a very real respect for life.

I didn't, I just replied to what Zee wrote in the OP, cause it was the first time I saw it, and first time I posted in the thread. Also, I really didn't ask any questions or anything initially so stop continuously just getting angry with me, it's really getting tiresome now.
