Yeah that was silly of me, they are clearly not comparable. One you can lead a full life with, the other, if serious, will kill you before your 40.

How many people deliberately contract the disease each year? If you can, please show some evidence to support this - links to studies etc. Or, if it's something that you've just made up, let us know that too

Interesting stuff. I didn't know about that, but I'm still a little skeptical about the overall numbers, and what might be driving such people. And to me, it is in poor taste to compare such people with the overweight. However, following the overweight around with a tuba is acceptable.

Working where I used to work, a few years ago, I knew of a handful of people who had deliberately contracted HIV in order to receive benefits such as housing and disability allowances. Not sure how well it worked out for them now the Tories are in.
