No i thibk its just that Dexter is a bit brighter than your average bear and realises that what they know means nothing in the long run and its nothing that we dont know anyway.

Yeah I agree with that, Dexter has already said he has to use his knowledge "responsibly" which is makes a change from people bursting back into the house with their fists up. With that one line he has spread the paranoia without looking bad.
