She was upset because her dog is dying. She thought she would be out weeks ago and see him before he goes. She also misses her 24 year old son.

When my dog was dying we never left her side so as to comfort her, why would you tittle off to the BB house.

I should imagine her 24 year old son will be over the moon at having a free house.
