Most of the housemates in the main house will be too busy being overjoyed at not being up for eviction.

I don't think Dan's sussed what's going on at all. I think he was just hesitant because he loves to be in the main house milling about sticking his beak in everyone's business and i also think he was concerned about possibly being targeted next week. He said to S & S "will there be more to it, will we have to do things to the other housemates in the week ?". I think he doesn't want to make himself a possible target.
