Well said CaudleHalbard. I have also know people like Dan in the real world. Very sinister undertones with a meanicing streak. See how he couldn't stop talking (in a nasty bitchy way) about Callum cleaning in the kitchen, first to Spohie and then later to those in the garden, repeating what he had said to Spohie. He really did throw a temper tantrum about how he feels about Callum and when the others laughed at or with him, they became no better than Dan himself. So glad the nasty piece of work is out.

Precisely the point that I have been trying to make all along! ...but have found it easier to say that my dislike of him was because of his smugness!
