They were at their best for me with their New Gold Dream and Sparkle in the rain, but I also loved Street Fighting Years.

I always felt after New Gold Dream they changed direction a lot and lost that new wave edge I liked about them in Sons and fascination/sister feelings call. I still liked it though and I listen to real life quite a bit too.

I never owned their earlier albums, so the '82-84' era was my main listening. I was a little disappointed with Once Upon a Time but really loved Street Fighting Years.


I bought their back catalogue about 5 years ago, but only played them a couple of times.

I've done this with so many bands, so I do expect to go back in the near future.

I was at T in the Park the other weekend and I saw they were promoting a tour with Ultravox, both bands were playing their greatest hits tour. That would have been fun.

I'm not a fan of live music unless I'm actually there and even when I buy live albums from concerts I've seen I usually only play them the once.

Have you looked at the 'New Posts' and 'New Non-BB Posts' links at the top of the forum? (Also 'Today's Posts' under 'Quick Links').

They are a good way of seeing what's going on in all the different sections of the forum.
