Whilst Hitler did have some evil in him, why would he let 338,000 British and French troops escape. He held back his orders for three days so the aforementioned could escape. To those who haven't looked deeper into such huge national disasters/events this will seem ridiculous. However, sometimes, the real story isn't the one we're told.
