No, just confirms to me you don't know what the word 'bullying' means.

I can't help but wonder, if they ever tried a BBUS style endurance task, how many complaints for cruelty would there be? Bonus if they include have-not treatment with nothing but protein porridge to eat all week and a metal bed.

Last week in a different task, Hazel categorically said that it was no use getting upset with her she was doing a task - she always did her tasks to the best of her ability. So Gina doing PRECISELY what she has been ordered to do by BB - is no different. Hazel however, did not like Gina doing her task to the best of her ability.

The tasks are not set by the housemates.

As for bringing up Nelson Mandela... LOL! Pathetic! Try again!

My stomach was in knots watching the vids on the Channel 5 site, and I don't want to be told to just stop watching. I've been watching BB from Day one and if I or anyone else don't agree with something, it's not fair to say too bad. After all, we have spent money over the years on the show and if we don't agree with something we have a right to say so, and not be told to it's easy to press buttons. It's not on.

What did I make worse? that post you quoted was a reply to another mod, we were having a bit of a laugh along with another forum member, but silly me forgetting what serious business the internet is eh.

As for the quote from the original post, since this is a forum and on forums we discuss things, regardless of what the OP posted, people will do and have a right to post an opinion whether they are in agreement with the original post or not.

Wow, people are going crackers! Into the home straight and fans support for their chosen housemate is reaching hysteria. It was the Gina show tonight, all set up by BB, as were the friends and family noms... Sam seeing what Sophie and Dexter said about him... the putting of Hazel and Daley together in the safe house... Anyone see a pattern emerging? Don't blame anybody other than BB for stirring the pot!

Hazel has looked fed up and done with it for two weeks now, so she obviously didn't enjoy being zapped in the arse whilst Gina sat on a thrown, and so she didn't play ball. Was she bullied? Of course not! She didn't choose to get on with it and do exactly as everyone (including Gina by the way) has done all series. She no longer cares and just wants out. All this is pretty standard BB fodder, they sign up for it and no doubt beg, during the audition process, for the privilege of being electrocuted by Big Brother.

I am at a loss for words with this series of BB, just when you think it can't get any worse, just when you think it has scraped the bottom of the barrel lo and behold they sink even lower with a spot of organised public bullying.

FFS only this week a young girl committed suicide due to cyber bullying and yet here we have BB putting it on television for entertainment.

OMG she is not being Bullied and how are people condemning her for treating Hazel like Hazel would treat her. At the same time trying to do the same thing in your post by calling Gina names and putting her down . According to this logic what goes around apparently come back around.

Avert our eyes! It's the best thing to do, right? If we pretend it isn't happening, everything will be just fine.

I'd be happy if they cancelled the show and Endemol went bankrup after this ****. It's absolutely foul. And anyone who finds it entertaining really needs to think about the things that they "enjoy", and why.
You are absolutely right in every word you have posted on this subject. The bully culture on our TV screens these days has numbed a lot of people to the reality of the effect it has on the person who is bullied. Unless that person is crying buckets of tears and broken many people can't see that they might be affected inside by the cruelty toward them.
If a person puts up a good front and tries to stand up to the bully, then they are demonized because they didn't crumple up in a heap and let the masses have the pleasure of seeing them being demoralized.
Hazel is a dignified sort of person and Gina was trying damn hard to get Hazel to lose her dignity. That is bullying of the worst kind - trying to lower someone's dignity. I can't believe I ever liked Gina - she is nothing but a thug.

They try to get away with it by saying "it's all down to the public!" but when they set these things up they know EXACTLY how they're going to pan out. It really is sick. It's a heartless, once-rich, now-floundering company essentially torturing a girl to improve their ratings. The more the public bays for her blood, the better for them. They're like a Roman emperor in their box seat it the Colosseum, sending out the lions to rip someone to shreds for the entertainment of the crowd.
Well put !
Wouldn't at all be suprised...

Also makes me wonder whether they're doing it deliberately to create a backlash, which makes the vote closer which ker-chinggg, is good for them.

Are we the paying voting public being taken for fools too ?

At the end of the day, few bother to vote for a shoe-in.
Surely they MUST know that ?...

They definitely catalyzed the dexter and callum situation to get more people to vote, since both were up and people were taking sides. I don't really understand what they're doing this week at all as Gina isn't even up! There's no vote to polarize for cash, unless they expect the votes to jump to Charlie instead.

Gina showed her colors the first week. The fact that she can be a bitch and a nice person just means she's not a one note person. Also she wanted to pick someone else for the task after she noticed Hazel was getting butt hurt. Until Charlie said she didn't feel bad after she heard about the F**ing bitches thing or was I the only one who watched that clip instead of rushing to judgment. However I get that most people only watch the HL. So it's understandable.

One other thing...
Whether it's "bullying" or not, the blatant bias is damn unfair.

Notice how everyone on the BBBOTS panel (even good mate Dan) said they wanted to her to go tonight.
Fair enough he said it in the house before too.
But he also said Charlie had done herself some good !

Why can't HM's just be treated equally with an equal share of tasks and be let to battle it out FAIRLY ?
Is that really too much to ask ?!

Whilst it seems unlikely for them to predict that Charlie would be picked as head guard (and a backlash would ensue) I wouldn't rule it out.

For me it begs the question...
If you were running the show and wanted to boost voting profits, what would you go with ?

Hate to say it but i felt uncomfortable watching Hazel being on the receiving end of yet another task.

I wont complain to Ofcom due to the fact im not a loser and i do actually want to keep the show on the air but i will air my disapproval on the forums which BB producers (especially DS) do read.

They do get task. BB just doesn't show them in the HL because they're boring. If you watched any of the live feeds you'll know why they choose certain people to show. Because they need a story of the week. They only have 40 or so minutes to clip together. If they put all the stuff about everyone else they would have to double the amount of time they get to show it.

Firstly , I don't think Hazel was bullied. However, I don't agree that complaining to Ofcom would make anyone a loser. Ofcom exists specifically to look at complaints about broadcast material. They only uphold genuine complaints. Therefore they are capable of steering BB away from over-stepping the mark and making itself unpalatable to viewers. I think it's probably the biggest myth amongst TIBB posters: the idea that complaints will end the show, the opposite is more likely to be true.

When you consider that both BB and BotS get enough complaints every week to make the OFCOM summary report (only shows with 10 or more complaints on a given airing make the report), if complaining was going to cancel the show, it would've happened back when Jay was still there.

As for this, though, Hazel and Gina each give as good as they get, and in comparison to what Daley did to her, no, I don't think Gina has committed grievous harm against her. Contrary to the real world, where someone has to die before bullying behavior is taken seriously, in that house, all she has to do is go to BB to complain and the reaction is instant.
