tbh I do think a lot of it isn't actually HER being herself and she's just playing to the gallery or what people want her to be like.
She can hear the boos each week and she probably thinks the public adore her and just want more.
Unfortunately in Hazel's case (or at least on the forums again), she's wrong.
And Not helped by her boyfriend adding fuel to the fire either.
Though as I've said elsewhere, I do wonder if "Stay away from Hazel" was actually code for "Shut up constantly having a go at Hazel all the time !"

You're probably right as that's quite often the case - people play up to a crowd for popularity, be it on tv or just in a schoolyard, and are quite different one-on-one when theyre not trying to impress anyone. Even people who are friends in private, but will turn against each other in a group for the benefit of people watching, is classic "school yard" stuff. An obvious example would be that many siblings who get on well and are friends at home, the older sibling will still "pick on" the younger one if they cross paths at school, to impress their friends.
One on one Gina is perfectly capable of being nicer and doesn't seem like a completely horrible person, but she does go against people purely because she thinks it's the popular opinion. Which is in itself a very unpleasant trait. And exactly why her winning would be appalling... It encourages that sort of "playing up to a crowd" and "nastiness to impress". She is basically a real-life troll.
