Sam has never been backwards in coming forwards in telling dexter EXACTLY what he feels about him.
I really love that, the others will listen to his self serving spiel for hours... but not sam  He may not be the most demonstrative in the house but he has got dexter pegged, he won't even try to soft soap sam or attempt to manipulate him because he knows his own mind.
