Can see both sides of this argument...

Its true that actually I dont want to see Lauren cage dancing either, the same way I dont want to see Carol or Vicky cage dancing... nothing transphobic, just dont want to see old/ulgy people gyrating half naked on TV.

However the way Bruce presented his objections do indicate bigoted views. If its exhibitionism he dislikes then he should hate Courtney, Charlotte and Carol to some degree (she makes a show of herself every night now) But it was just Lauren, if it was just down to a looks thing why not say that??

Clearly him and Ron didn't understand or want to be around Lauren, I doubt either wish her any harm but they are what they are, old fashioned misogynists with outdated views from a bygone era.

I disagree completely with the OPs obsession with putting every little thing down to Lauren being transgendered.

I understand if Bruce didn't want to see Lauren cagedancing. IMO she is not an attractive woman like Courtney is. Its nothing to do with her being trans..I just dont think shes goodlooking. And I should be able to say that without being accused of transphobia, which will no doubt come soon

However my problem is how he made out it was the exhibitionist behavior that he didnt like, instead of just being honest. I think he made himself look a right tit, and a hypocrite.

Yeah thats all very sad. But it has nothing to do with how he treat his wife.
As I say I hate excuses being made for stuff like that. Hell even the 'he was abused as a kid so he does it now' type excuses don't wash with me :S

I agree with this,I think he was probably being careful what he said so he did'nt get accused of transphobia but he should have just been honest imo.

Fair enough, it's no excuse for his behaviour in his life, but he turned to drink after his younger life and the things he saw and went through, and he was a nasty drunk.

But hasn't he suffered enough? you now want him to watch Lauren cage dance too.?

And, uhh, no, you're right, many men would not want to be with her. When did I suggest otherwise?? I just didn't see the need to write "half-woman". She may have been born into a male body but she considers herself to be fully woman, so why refer to her as any different?

I agree that bruce is a hypocrite, I don't find lauren or Courtney good looking and they are both exhibitionists so for me he should have referred to both or neither.

I don't see how anyone can say you dont fancy transgenders as they used to be men tbh. A lot of M to F transgenders look extremely feminine, moreso than some who were born female. Obviously its different though if you know the person is transgendered though, but you can't tell with a lot.
