Some dogs can smell cancer in people, so i guess technically they have an "extra sensory perception" because they have a different sense of smell, and they can smell the rotting and mutating flesh. Just like police dogs can smell drugs in a car that humans can't smell.

but when most people use the term "ESP" they are talking about being psychic. Animals are not psychic.

It's something else. I used extra sensory perception as a broad term rather than something long like "do cats seem to notice when you are sad or depressed"

If people want to put forth the proposition that cats can mind read or have pre-cognitive abilities then they are most welcome. I don't personally believe they can understand our thoughts but I am curious as to what connection domestic animals seem to have with humans that we don't seem to be able to comprehend.
