Perhaps lost in yesterday's bevy of chart feats by Eminem, who this week becomes the first lead artist to land four concurrent top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 since the Beatles in 1964, is that Rihanna tallies her 25th top 10, matching the sum totaled by Elvis Presley.

Thus, "The Monster" is proving aptly titled, as its debut at No. 3 has surfaced narratives between Eminem and the Beatles and Rihanna and the King of Rock and Roll.

Upon the collaboration's bow, here's an updated look at the acts with the most Hot 100 top 10s:

Of course, the usual caveat when it comes to Presley's history: his career predates the Hot 100 by two years. Prior to the chart's Aug, 4, 1958, he tallied 12 top 10s on Hot 100 predecessor pop charts, so his total would be considerably higher had the list existed upon his landmark arrival.

Not only does Rihanna log her milestone 25th Hot 100 top 10, but she also earns the honor of being the fastest among women, besting Madonna by four months. "The Monster" ranks in the top tier just eight years and four months after her first such hit, "Pon De Replay," in 2005. That just tops the eight-year, seven-month span for Madonna from her first week in the top 10 with "Borderline" (June 16, 1984) and her 25th, the No. 7-peaking "Deeper and Deeper," which reached the region the week of Jan. 16, 1993.

Rihanna tallies her 25th top 10 the second-most quickly among all acts. The Beatles needed just four years between 1964's "I Want to Hold Your Hand" -- one of the titles that gave the Fab Four a record six songs in the top 20 simultaneously that year -- and 1968's "Lady Madonna" (just to tie together the Beatles and Madonna a little more).

"The Monster" is additionally Rihanna's 45th Hot 100 entry, tying her with the output of her Island Def Jam labelmate Carey. Here's an updated look at the women with the most Hot 100 visits:

SOS is a great track but it's nowhere near being innovative and doesn't particularly forecast EDM in a particularly stand out way. It's just a souped up Tainted Love.

EDM itself isn't particularly innovative. It's just trance soundsets from the wave of Roland JP-8000 driven dance from the late 90's, retooled to fit pop melody and structure more with the mid ranges amped up to radio friendly insanity.

EDM is just an American invention as well. The term is retarded. We just always called it electronic over here. Dance. House. 'EDM' is a new tag so it makes it sound like a new thing but it's not.

He was a peroxide phenomenon in his 20s, an icon of adolescent posturing, the go-to guy for Christina Aguilera insults and casual homophobia, but in 2013, rap is trap and money and molly. Who needs a 41-year-old spitting another revenge fantasy about his mother over plangent piano? With this sequel to his blockbuster third album, however, the rapper has created a work that bears comparison. Not necessarily because it's full of hits – though Rap God, Survival, Rhyme or Reason and Love Game all could be – but because Eminem has engaged with his age and others' scepticism, decided he doesn't give a **** and asserted himself again. There is confidence and maturity here; introspection and regret are balanced with a clear idea of his place in rap's history. His flows are exceptional (Rap God contains an unbelievable feat of double-time rhyming) and the wordplay dazzling. The jokes, in places offensive, are relentless and ribald. There is no apology, though, no concession; just a considered, virtuoso application of talent.
