I did it Kazanne, always do. It is something I feel myself is important to remember those who so young, lose their lives and I will be doing the silence tomorrow at 11 am too.

We always do it too Joey,I think even though I am relatively young I can still appreciate what those soldiers went through for us.

Never forget.

To lay down your life in defence of others and their freedom from tyranny is the ultimate sacrifice.

Also those we fought who were just ordinary people embroiled in a conflict they were ushered into by vile people are worthy or remembrance.

great watching. i am just doing a poem on it. we owe them so much. really is heart breaking to see how some have ended up doing what they did for our country.

as for the queen - so old and out in the cold - she makes me so proud as well.

I did do it and I always do it, a minute or two out of your time's nothing to remember them

She gets a lot of stick the Queen for being in a position of privilege but you have to admire when speaking events are required of her she comes out and does them and she does them well and with sincerity.

I did a 2 mins silence as I was out and that's what happened, I don't buy a poppy or give to that charity though as my great grandfather who fought in ww 2 always told me for as long as I can remember never to give to that charity because when the time came that he needed help he never recieved any, and so I don't give to the charity.

I do think it's very important to remember though not necessarily with a minuets silence but just to take time now and then to be thankful and appreciative.

I did, and yes I have a paper poppy too.
I don't advocate war and have the opinion the lads are sacrificed in the name of money and power, pawns in war games.
That however does not detract from the soldiers honour, bravery and courage. That is why I wear my poppy.

I wear my poppy with pride. We always do the silence wherever we are.

My dad fought in WW2 , and the thought of us ever forgetting what all those brave people did is unthinkable. The same as the men and women that still put their lives at risk for us today.

I went to the cenotaph. This is the first year that my grandad hasn't been able to go as his in hospital but fought in the war so I went in his place. I visited him yesterday in hospital and he was talking about the war as if it were yesterday...he is 96, very confused ATM due to a fall that has moved some shrapnel that he has had in his head since being injured in WW2 in 1940. He can barely remember yesterday but remembers all about the fighting. These soldiers need to be remembered.
