I always go to the Manchester one...normally about the second week in December. We go late in the afternoon when it's going dark so we can have mulled wine and a hot pork barm to warm up and look at the lights.

..yeah, I think ours start next week with a charity market first and then they'll be on twice a week until Christmas, with a late night one on Thursdays and fair etc..there is also on at a local barn/estate where they farm the Christmas trees...the atmosphere is lovely...

We went to one in Londons Earl Court a few years ago which was really good except for the main attraction being some bimbo from Towie trying to sell her make up and Gino cooking up Christmas food but apart from that we only really have small ones in our town

The last one big one I went to was in Edinburgh, 5 years ago.
It was lovely, ice skating rink next to it. But to be honest you could not move it was that packed, and tended to be a lot of stalls selling the same things. Wil probably visit a few quaint ones in the Dales these coming weeks. ![]() |

love them, the one in Bath is awesome. Not terribly useful for shopping since it's all local produce, craftsmen and food stalls, but still a really pretty place and the smells are awesome. They usually have performances from choirs and musical shows going on in front of the abbey, too. I've been to the Birmingham one too, which would have been nice were it not in Birmingham...

We have a German Christmas market in town every year with stands to buy traditional German Christmas cuisine and gifts. Gunwhalf also opens a small market stand in the square.
