They're both great songs, but there is no way Nicholas will be able too sing that song well enough, and have the high silky voice, It'll be all monotone

It's not meant to be like the original anyway! It's meant to be something completely different like what like did to what makes you beautiful by one direction, the aim is try to make it your own not the an exact cover.
