2 vains of thought here.
1. He thinks he is worth more, which has something to do with his own interpretation of his own value of worth, spelt INFLATED EGO
2. The shows executives don't think he is all that interesting, if indeed they even did approach him at all. We all know agents do most of the work these days so could it be a publicity campaign by his agents.
When these shows are on the table and the planning stage, there are blanket questions thrown out there to many celebs like would ???? be interested in coming on the show. The execs might think that a certain person is worth say 50k but they come back with 150k its binned and then the agents go to work an say that Mr ????? was approached but the show couldn't afford him. Twisted media logic if you ask me.
We will never know the truth but I am glad he isn't going in, the last thing we need is the nice boy act dripping in sympathy and victim cards all over the place, its getting boring. We need conflict and fun with interesting tasks and a defined voting mechanism devoid of interference.
