..it must be awful, they're completely stunned and obviously just want to be at the hospital with him as much as they can and there will people/media etc everywhere, that just adds to the stress and there is nothing that anyone can do/nothing they can say to anyone atm.....

The fact that he is so fit will help... it's so dangerous going off-piste, even when you're as good a skier as he is. Thank God he was wearing a helmet. My parents are massive Schu fans... he's got so many people wishing him well, I really hope he recovers.

When it's an induced coma, it's not a case of not being able to wake from it. They reduce the dosage of barbiturates gradually and wake you from it.. He will definitely wake from it.. but they won't reduce the dosage until he's stabilised..

I can tbh Marc. It's encouraging that he wasn't comatose when he arrived at hospital. An induced coma is not nearly as bad as a natural one.

And, the helmet has saved him from certain death.

I could see him making a good recovery if he gets through the next few days.

Don't see how a photographer is putting his life into danger, it's only a flash. But it is pretty gross the lengths they would go to in order to get paid
