Jim comes across as the worst kind of Tory, a working class Tory, like Alf Garnett. But he didn't get 2 huge prime time BBC Saturday night slots, Generation Game and Big Break, without having massive appeal.

My point was if someone made a thread lumping all of the older housemates into one category and saying they are all stupid and dull there would be hell on.

Housemates should be judged as individuals not by what age they are.

I also wouldn't exactly describe Lee, Jasmine and Dappy as being youngsters tbh Jasmine is 31, Lee is 30 and Dappy is 26/27.

Ive been saying it for years. The producers cant organise a proper show and without the older element it would be chaos. They have really scrapped the barrel with these youngsters this time, they are cringe worthy and so desperate to grab airtime.

That's true, he was one of the poster boys, troops entertainer. Nothing inherently wrong in that but he does still represent what the Thatcher generation was mostly about imo.

I'm liking the contrasting mixture of the two.I am in between them both age wise so appreciate the younger and older.I'm enjoying this series.
