You do make a good point there, after all we should sort of just be watching in on a group of people and what they say and do.
If they are to be controlled as to what to say then we will not see what they are really like.
Were we looking into a house, listening to all they sid, if anything that was offensive was said, we couldn't demand a warning be given.
Of course a few rules are needed to curb any threats to safety of the housemates if there are consequences from the heated conversations or debate.
Really though what we see and hear is often nowhere near as bad as what we could overhear at times on public transport or in other public areas.
I take fully on board your last point, the less warnings the better, show them as they are and what they think,not having conversation controlled.
