..I agree that none of them are 'perfect', no one is..but the difference with celebrity BB is that we do know something about the housemates before they enter the house..or at least some of them and we all do have opinions about the type of people they are...it's been no different from any of the other housemates in that I've seen numerous posts/comments about Dappy and his online pics..comments on how Luisa was in the Apprentice, how Lee was an idiot etc and those are preconceived opinions about them before they went into the house..it's human nature and no one is exempt from it...I have often changed my opinion of someone from what they are like in the house by their interactions with others and just the general way that they are..but to do that, you have to see something that changes your opinion otherwise it stays the same...and with Jim, I haven't seen anything that would change it, so I am basing my opinion on what he's like in the house, which is someone who doesn't interest me at all....maybe that would change if he talked about himself/his past like other 'controversial' housemates have in the past...but at the moment, he's still the same unfunny person he always was....

Jim has talked about himself and his past mistakes, he's just not going into detail, anyway all his dirty laundry is out there for all to see, and Linda does the job for him, but telling the others her take on how awful he is.

As for other preconceived ideas about the others, Lee, Luisa and Dappy have re enforced those ideas by how they've been in the house.

..I haven't heard him talk about himself and his past in the house..?...and for me there's nothing to change my opinion of Jim either from anything I have seen in the house..we all have preconceived opinions of celebrities that we know something about and that only changes if there is something to change it...

I don't really understand why we can't judge the HMs on their past? Like Ammi said they're all "celebrities" and I think that the whole point of CBB is that they're people that you have heard of and have opinions on and it gives them a chance to change peoples minds, unlike normal BB. I may be wrong though. I'm fairly new to BB UK.

I watched Jim on Hell's Kitchen and hated him. I learned about his personal life and I hated him more. I don't know if it's just because I'm fairly young, but I can't just put him being a horrible, disgusting person to the side so I can judge him only for how he is on this show. Honestly, I don't think he should have even been allowed on this.

I also don't really get how you can compare Jasmine punching LiLo and Sam slapping her boyfriend and some girl he was with or whatever to what sounds like Jim beating his wife on multiple occurrences.

Sorry, I don't know if it's just because I'm overly passionate in hating the things that Jim has done but I don't really understand how people can just overlook all of that and give him a clean slate.

Like Ammi said, he's sarcastic and condescending to get people react, but then he scurries away when people react to him belittling them and he only belittles them more.

Also, his views on general matters are just gross, like how nuclear bombs keep the peace and how he's a chauvinist pig who doesn't understand women by admission. He expresses his awful views the quietest, least controversial way and while he's not enacting anything in particular, it's a constant reminder that this is Jim Davidson we're dealing with and he's a particularly awful person. If you want any comparison, look at Danielle Lloyd who said extremely horrific things about Shilpa but was always the kindest to her.
