Eh the bit about family values or whatever it was is a bit iffy to say the least, maybe he's just been misconstrued but certainly his tweet reads like he supports homophobic attitudes which is not something you want to be lumped with (even if it is true) when you're part of a boy band - your dual appeal comes down to appealing to women and gay men, it's like rule #1 of pop music marketing.
