Well that's the crux of it.... some only see what's right in front of their face.
The overtly aggressive challenges by linda are picked up on the more subtle digs by jim missed as they may not be shown. He has been exposed on one or two occasions though.
The charm offensive we see now is as a result of his 'victim' stance.... but can he maintain it?
