she was equally twattish pushing to sell off his assets for just enough to cover her debt even though they were worth a lot more. I can't see how she comes out of this looking good either.

..yeah, you're right Cherie, I don't think that she does come out of it looking good either..it's always sad (but often happens) that people who have had feelings toward each other can then feel so much bitterness when the relationship comes to an end.. and it's so often about 'money/possessions' as well..a real 'relationship gone wrong' in this case for whatever reasons and they both look bad and appear very vindictive and bitter.but because of the extremity of his actions, he's not only made himself look far worse than her, he's also made her look better as well...irony...

..he really has wasted 5 years of his life now because the people who would have bought the house and lived there, would have appreciated their home and loved it and then it wouldn't have been a 'waste'....

Pay a lawyer for a prenup or pay a lawyer to sort out the carnage. I know which one will cost you less. If people know what the deal is before they get married, there'd be less of this ridiculousness - from both sides.

Even more reason then to have some kind of contract when money and property are involved. If they were two uninvolved people investing, they'd never dream of going ahead with only verbal contracts to protect their interests.
