Most of these bands have the same kind of lifestyles and same views on talent shows like x factor and stuff. They aren't as mainstream as others and put more work into becoming who they are and to become successful. That's why rock bands are usually so talented.

..yeah Drew, I think that's it as well..I think maybe that's also why they sometimes come across as arrogant, because they're so the opposite of the pop music thing that they start to loom as though they're looking down on everything, when I don't think they are but for them, some of the music successes must be quite annoying and that makes them look like it's wrong/arrogant for them to take their music seriously...also, they are young as well and not wanting to pull the age card but I do think that it makes for feeling as though you have to prove yourself more as opposed to someone like Bowie..?...I'm rambling and have no idea what I'm talking about...

I think you know what you're talking about Ammi, I agree with you. These new X Factor pop stars literally have it handed on a plate whilst bands possibly go years doing small gigs and what not just to make themselves known... so then when they do end up commenting on their views of pop music and what not, it can come across as arrogant to some, whilst I see it as them standing for what they've done/a good work ethic...
