Cheryl Cole 'is coming back to X Factor under one condition - that she is the ONLY female judge'




Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole will only return to X Factor if she is the only woman on the panel, according to a newspaper report.

It has been alleged that the Girls Allowed singer told ITV bosses that she will only reprise her role on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and a still unconfirmed fourth mentor if she is the sole female.

"If Cheryl does come back as planned, she will be the only woman on the panel. That's how she wanted it and at this moment she seems to be calling the shots," Daily Star cite a source saying.

"They're still finalising the other details but Cheryl made it clear she didn't want to be pitched against another female again."

Cheryl is rumoured to be close to a deal with Simon and is expected to return to the UK show for the first time since 2010.

The singer fell out with the music boss in 2011 when he axed her from the US version, but the pair met up in Los Angeles earlier this month to rekindle talks, a deal is said to be worth £2 million.

It has also been claimed that X Factor favourite Olly Murs is close to getting that last judges spot although Cowell is said to be thinking over the idea of signing up music legend Lionel Richie.

The insider added: "Olly is practically a surefire bet. But Simon could also surprise everyone by signing up legend Lionel.

"They're pals and last year's contestants even moved into the crooner's old house for the duration of the show."

I can't see it being true, if it is true then I think she's overplaying her hand. Yes, she was apart of the XF's most successful years but the XF is what made her into a household name. She's easily replaceable.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, but then it's the Daily Star so it could easily be false as well, I hope so anyway as Cheryl and Olly on the same panel is gonna be painful to watch.
