Yeah I guess thats a way of doing it too.

I told my family years ago that I want the plug pulled if anything like that happened to me (thought I added severely physically disabled, not totally vegetated). My mum told me to stop being so morbid, but even the thought of still being all there mentally but totally unable to move or something terrifies me so much and I would rather not experience it

Having said that, a few months after my mum told me that y wishes were morbid, she (seriously) asked me if I would help her to die if she ever wanted me to. She had a plan about it too..apparently I am to hand her pills if she is unable to move for them..or take her to a cliff in her wheelchair and just push her off

She also wants me to smuggle malibu and ciggies in for her if she ever ends up in an old peoples home.

That was a lovely conversation.

I hate the Scouse accent, especially when people put it on. It's horrible and I grates on me, but I don't want to cause offense.

LOL Vicky. I was surprised to discover this hospice I had to go to last week (my aunt's dying) has these trollies that go around at mealtimes offering the patients something to drink and it's stacked with alcohol there're smoking rooms too.

Maybe I should send my mum there instead. Would be a lot easier

In all seriousness though, this is how they should all be I think. Despite needing care, these people (mostly) still have their own minds and as such should be able to decide if they want a drink and a fag or not.

Though I guess then the staff have the problem of possible drunk patients...and I dont quite know how someone who was mentally ill would be handled alcohol wise...allow them or not allow? If they dont know what they are doing etc...hmm
