2 countries will wear similar dresses in the second semi

Spoiler:

As the second round of rehearsals take place at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, it’s time for the costumes to come out.

Whilst for most, it’s a chance to showcase couture and designer labels; today’s fashion headlines have been stolen by Austria and Ireland.

Ireland’s Kasey Smith, lead singer of the band Can-Linn followed Austria’s Conchita Wurst in an eerily similar gold lace-sewn dress with a see-through train covering stilettos.

The two leading ladies for their country are sporting very similar dresses and hair-dos. In fact, the only noticeable difference between the two artists’ stage look is Conchita’s elegantly styled facial hair.

The remarkably similar style the two songs left many in the press centre playing spot-the-difference when the rehearsal photos appeared online. Neither singer appear too happy about the situation.

Can-Linn featuring Kasey Smith are representing Ireland with a typical Irish soft-rock pop song reminiscent of former top Irish music export, The Corrs.

Austria’s Conchita will be delivering a Shirley Bassey style entry that would perfectly grace the next James Bond movie.

Should Austria win the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, who wouldn’t place a bet on the next Bond movie taking its name from the song title, Rise like a Phoenix.
