Would have them both playing, Rooney up top with Barkley behind.. Barkley is one of our only players that can drive forwards in the middle at the defence, strong too.

Rooney as a number 10 has been bad enough to watch this season has to be played as the main striker. It's where he's been more effective in his whole career, so Barkley.

None. Having a "number 10" works when you actually have a true one. We don't have a Iniesta/Cesc/Gotze etc.

4-3-3 ftw. Maybe 4-3-1-2 and have Sterling play as the "10" like he does at Liverpool.

Yes. Sturridge should also be preffered to Rooney leading the line and Henderson must start alongside Gerrard in the center.

In all seriousness tho, henderson should start vs uruguay. And maybe italy. Him and milner, need bundles of energy for those games.
