Completely scrap the good shopping budget. When it comes to food, let them have full stock of raw ingredients every week. Basically let them have the food they want (within reason).

As mentioned, hungry housemates are lethargic and boring, and also, it's quite funny when they put on a gait but of weight and then get all upset about it... .

Just decent food with an unlimited budget though, not treat foods (chocolate, crisps, take aways etc.), cigarettes, or other non - food items. Those should have a separate budget based on the task. With a possibility of zero.

Also less alcohol. It seemed unlimited last year, but then they get used to it. If it's a very rare occasion that they're allowed much... That's when the **** REALLY flies. I'm still looking for BB5 fight Night Round two, but it doesn't look like it'll ever come!

More alcohol. Definitely more alcohol.

Nothing will ever surpass BB5 Fight Night unfortunately (some people think BB9's 'fight night' did, it was barely a fight, someone spat in someone else's face), and it wasn't down to alcohol at all. It was down to Emma and Michelle coming back from the bedsit having known Victor and Jason had a game plan and Marko being a little **** towards Jason when he asked him to clean up the food fight. (Even though I hate Jason and Victor).

Ahh yes, I've been saying increase the prize fund (significantly) for years. Many of them genuinely aren't that bothered about winning now because, whilst 100k is a lot of money, it's not MASSIVE, especially to older housemates who already have / have had a career, own a house, etc.

Obviously they'd all like it but no one is so desperate for it that they really fight to win like they used to. I think 250 or even 500k if possible would really prompt dollar signs in their eyes...

If money was no object - I'd start the prize fund at Ł1 million and have the tasks be focused on not letting it drop. On the final week have a massive task that could potentially drop the prize to zero, and watch the ones who are sure they won't win trying to wreck it... Muahaha...

I agree about the best bits. Just watched BB14's best bits on YouTube, I preferred the ones with the sad music on Channel 4. Channel 4's best bits made me emotional but if I'd have watched BB14 I doubt they would have made me emotional.

  • Less Marcus. Give us the day, time and an introduction to what the housemates are doing
  • Get rid of the nametags. Fair enough for episode one but stop.
  • No musical montages. It feels cheap.
  • Bring back the inventiveness to the opening titles.
  • Less 'silly' tasks.
  • Emma is kept away from the crowds when speaking live to the house

The decreasing prize money was genius. I'd like to see that return.

The amount of things noted in this thread... may as well remove the show and start from scratch.

Agree with some things said. Marcus toning would be an easy thing to do and please a lot of us. Getting a BB voice to do the "You have been evicted, please leave the.." would be nice too. Not like it costs them anything. Someone being Big Brother is around 24/7 so it would be very easy to get a voiceover done for evictions. Tougher punishments I agree with too, locking people behind bars for 2 hours is not a punishment...

Vote to save and one that will definitely never happen, the banning of the word 'twist'.

Oh, one I forgot to mention: Less finalists. I don't really love having more than 4, to be honest. It's not a huge thing, but BB14, for example, irritated me with how, from Week 6 onwards (the entire second half of the series), there were less evictions than finalists. I feel it should be the other way around.

I like how BB Australia never has more than 3 finalists. As late as the penultimate week, at least half of the housemates are evicted before the finale. Last year, there were 6 left in the penultimate week: one left that week, and another two 5 days later (two days before the finale), leaving 3 for the finale.

Then again, at least they've never repeated that awful decision from CBB8, to evict only 3 out of the 10 housemates.

Anyone who claims the BB9 one was better clearly didn't see the BB5 fight live . So much was cut from the HL show and never shown again... so much of that glorious brawl, lost forever!

Also, yeah that was what sparked it BUT they were all absolutely steaming when it properly kicked off; Emma, Michelle and Marco especially, but Jason and Victor had had a couple too which added fuel to the fire.

It results in mindless Geordie Shore like crap. On US reality shows it amounts to us watching an event unfold then watching someone describe what we just saw.

They started to bring that in during BB14 with a housemate explaining a task instead of simply letting us watch.
I'm talking less Geordie shore and more come dine with me.

Exactly, we never actually knew what made security come in because the camera panned away from the bathroom when Nadia/Vanessa were arguing, some presumed one slapped the other but it was never confirmed. And so much from Emma/Victor and Jason/Nadia/Marko was cut as well. It's strange that the footage won't ever be found now, I'm presuming they discarded it.

The living area to be away from the house again. Stricter punishments if housemates break the rules. If even one rule is broke. Then they are automatically put up for eviction.
