I highly doubt most of the viewers are tuning in to watch Pauline, Toya and Helen.. the people that find those 3 entertaining are a minority compared to the rest of the viewers. It'll be a great house when all 3 are gone.

Anyone that doesn't see that people love to hate on shows like this and dislikable characters keep viewers intrigued and that there are and have been direct correlations in the past between controversial housemates and events and increased viewing figures and social media/press attention, are sadly mistaken
What I am really looking forward to is when this series (which has got off to a brilliant start) inevitably quietens down because of the eviction order and people on social media and on here start complaining that not much is happening or that it's 'boring', that will be a real momentThankfully we've not had to experience that for a few years but I can see it happening this series Last edited by Jack_; 19-06-2014 at 02:35 PM. |

Nearly 90% of the viewers want Pauline and Toya gone. The ratings aren't going to plummet when most people watching will be happy. You will have threads on here saying the series is done and that's about it. Besides we may see more from people who aren't taking all the air time just by being bitches.

People wanted Nikki and Charley out in BB7 and 8 but look, the viewers stil dropped when they left... because without the big characters nothing will happen

Just because the viewers think they want something to happen, that doesn't mean it should. People love to hate, when they can't do that anymore they will lose interest. People don't consciously admit to liking watching hatable characters (because well that doesn't make any sense) but deep down they do. If there's someone to hate on, people will tune in to hate on them and long for their eviction

Oh the nasty/argumentative housemates make the series argument
![]() The ratings were **** at the beginning when the arguing was going on, funnily enough the big arguments have chilled (theres some normal bitching) and the ratings climb. And people do love to hate, they love to vote off the people that don't deserve to be on their tvs as soon as they possibly can. This same old tired argument is so boring now. |

Once again people seem to be making the mistake of thinking that the people who like these controversial housemates want to see 24/7 drama, I don't know how many times it has to spelled out that we aren't that thirsty and like civilised, intellectual discussions just as much as anyone else (a big reason why I miss the live feed) As I said we haven't had a series where something like this has happened for a number of years, but in the past when most or all of the divisive housemates were voted out there have been threads on here appearing saying 'anyone finding this boring now?' or 'dull episode tonight' There's a reason incidents like Fight Night, Denise/Shannon Twins, Daley/Hazel garnered a lot of attention When I said confused I meant confused as to the reasons why, they won't realise that they're actually partly to blame |

People acting like HMs don't step up when others leave. It's the same thingn every series. It's assumed the series is done and all of a sudden there is a new hate figure and storyline and someone new steps up.

That isn't true at all, we get this argument every year as a defence for evicting divisive characters. 'Other housemates will step up, we'll be able to see them' and then 95% of them we get to see them and they're sh*te...just as they were before
When Sam, John James, Corin and Steve (lol) were evicted from BB11, people like JJ, Andrew and Mario didn't suddenly turn into wondrous bastions of entertainment. Those four or so episodes before the finale were some of the most painfully dull in BBUK history. When Charley and Chanelle left BB8, people like Kara-Louise didn't suddenly go into full on meltdown mode and get us all talking. When Sallie, Dan, Wolfy were evicted last year, Sam didn't finally start setting the world alight (granted BB14 managed to survive with the departures of some bigger characters because Dexter and Gina stayed around, but we got lucky) It's basically an argument that we should gamble~ the housemates that are actually providing the discussions in favour of some other housemates that you never know~ might just step up and do the same after they've left. Why go out for burgers when you've got steak at home? |

the series will go to absolute ****ing **** if they all end up going. fail to see how anyone can't understand that it's not even difference of opinion in this case.
