Ash was always going to be up. That was not the plan. The plan was to make sure Ash was evicted by saving those who might be evicted instead of Ash, in particular Marlon. The "evil plan" was to save Marlon, not to put Ash up for eviction. Massive difference.

Queen Ashleigh flawlessly executed her plan to guarantee that Ash would be up AND that he would be up against guys that he would 100% go home vs. That's why it was important to save Marlon and Stephen so that this way Ash is guaranteed to go home. That is a brilliant plan for anyone let alone an 18 year old.

We also have reached the point where these young housemates have grown up with BB and similar shows all over the TV so the nature of the public vote doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out that putting someone booed up against people cheered is a good idea.

What I loved about last nights show was how stunted Helens power has become.

Two weeks ago Helen would have taken control of that meeting. But that didn't happen, Ashleigh did.

Helen went into that meeting thinking she had both Jale and Kim in her pocket, but she didn't. Both sided with Ashleigh.

Two weeks ago Helen would have shouted everyone down. But she didn't in that meeting, despite the fact that her closest ally was on the chopping block. Instead we saw Ashleigh take control and decide who they were talking about and, more importantly, why. This allowed her to have Chris and Steven, the popular choices locked in, only leaving the debate for the last spot open. Forcing a vote she knew she'd win.

Just think : if Toya had not been in the house - no way would Ashleigh be acting this way towards those same people.

You don't know that though, I'd never seen Ashleigh being friendly with Helen and co beforehand and she didn't like the way Helen was from when she had the argument with Danielle, that was ages before she became friendly with Toya

Ashleigh could run circles around Toya. Toya didn't have the smarts that she has. Toya was a impulsive person who showed her hand - she wasn't a 'strategy' person like Ashleigh. I don't see the resemblance at all.

I said that Helen stepped into the room thinking she had 3 votes to 2, and walked out 4 votes to 1.

That didn't happen accident. Under warning or not, Helen is still a power house of a character. She is still capable of making someone's life difficult. And warning or not, she is still able to argue, as long as she doesn't cross the line.

Ashleigh stated that it was her plan was to get Ash up for eviction. And she was true to her word. She talked to the other girls, apart from Helen, and made her case.

She took over the meeting. She decided what order the boys were discussed in. And she had the votes.

Helen isn't running scared, but she has to be questioning her position. Two weeks ago she was untouchable. Now her "man" is up and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She can no longer intimidate people. Her male backers are no longer as strong as they were - Ash is up, Steve is all Kim's, Marlon will side with Jale after her speech. Is she really still the top female HM? Two weeks ago this wouldn't have even been a question. But the situation has changed.

So the question is, if Helen isn't, who is?

Jale? Has proven to be quite resilient, but has never been hugely popular.

Kim? Too stoic.

Danielle? Can anyone see her ever being the most popular female HM?

Ashleigh? She got the female votes. How many of the men like her?

Followers rarely "keep the power". Over the last few days Ashleigh has come across as head strong and in control. At no point did we see a "Toya" out burst, or a Helen spit fire attack. So this has nothing to do with "hand-me-down" power. Ashleigh has proven to have her own inner confidence.

And how exactly is Ashleigh acting? She talked logically and made her points to Danielle, Jale, and Kim. Which secured their votes. And in the meeting she was pleasant, straight forward and in control. Afterwards Helen's displeasure was centered around Kim.

Helen's argumentative side has nothing to do with who's up for eviction or who's safe. Give her a drink and she'll blow. She's treading on eggshells because she's on warnings from Big Brother about being confrontational and aggressive. Ash was up last week too, that didn't stop her blowing her lid on Matthew.

You are missing the main point. All Ashleigh wanted was for Ash to be up and the 2 people she thought might get evicted instead of him to be saved. Those people were Steven and Marlon, and she encouraged Kim and Jale in their desire to save them when they had their private talks because they were reluctant with their decision as they were doubtful that Helen would agree because she wanted Ash saved.

She initially wanted to save Matthew, but it didn’t matter to her which other HM they saved out of those that were left as long as it wasn’t Ash.

Ashleigh took charge of the proceedings and when Kim was shilly shallying about with her decision for fear of offending Helen, Ashleigh showed her authority and pushed Kim on.

Jale and Kim got what they wanted, and Ashleigh got what she wanted because all she wanted was Ash up and those who might have gone instead of him saved. The only person who didn’t get what they wanted was Helen – and that was another thing Ashleigh wanted and got!

I don’t know why you say Ash was never going to be saved no matter what? If Helen had outsmarted the other girls the result would have been very different. But Ashleigh orchestrated the whole thing and outsmarted her.
