You can't justify the ratings when c4 thrashes c5 as well

Its the last eviction this year that will clash with the world cup. It has clashes with 5 more world cup matches, they need to definitely change BB to 10:30 or 11:00 next sunday as it will clash with the world cup final. Ratings should pick up when Arm... starts as hopefully we will get the people back who only watch the launch as they might think its a new BB or something and watch it.

That's an all right rating actually for being up against a big game last night.

Not bad.

Well ch5 have beaten Ch4 for around 80% of the time that BB has been on, so I would say that's pretty impressive for a channel which is deemed to be less watched.

why is Channel 4 deemed superior to Channel 5

Channel 4 has Hollyoaks and its come up with some good shows like Benefits Street
Channel 5 has Big Brother, Neighbours and Home and Away

Yuck what a negative attitude wanting a show you are a fan of to get low ratings just because you backed another fail of a housemate.
You cant always get your own way you know.

Ch4 ratings wise has always been superior, which is why it's a big feat when Ch5 beat them. Ch4 launched in 1982, Ch5 launched in 1997 and never really found it's footing until BB came along, Ch4 has a lot of hits throughout the decades.

It's fair to say that BB has still damaged C4 over the last few years

I dont think it has to be fair. I dont get the lauding it over C4 when C5 beat them in the ratings thing.
All the woohoo C4 got 800k and C5 got 1million thing is a bit odd because C4 aren't paying Ł20 million pounds a year for whatever repeat they were showing that night.

What I mean is they should of never axed they only axed it because it was getting around 2 Million/3 Million and wasn't as good as it was but now that it is gone most of there shows only average around 1 Million/2 Million when BB is on anyway

It's not Big Brother anymore. I want it to have a rest purely because this is an embarrassment to the whole point of the show.

If BB was on Channel 4 it would still probably only get the ratings it gets now anyway

Of course. They'd be lucky to have gotten figures like BB14.

The fact it came last in the 9pm slot and was beaten not only by Channel 4's 8 out of 10 cats which is about 10 years old now and used to be a BB spin off back in the day with BB specials or it being sandwiched between evictions is really sad.

The only positive is Channel 4 dropping 656k (3.2%) at 10pm for Friday Night Dinner.

Hopefully the +1 will surface later today but then those figures are going to add to the other shows aswell.

Just another point aswell the Brazil game did not rate as well as expected it was 7.48 and should not be seen as the reason BB rated so low in my opinion. If it was up against an X Factor finale which gets about 12 to 15 million then yeah I would agree that's the reason but a BB eviction night was beaten by Gardeners ****ing world.

Last nights ratings across the channels: 9PM

ITV: World Cup: 7.48m (37.1%)

BBC1: New Tricks 2.2m (10%)

Channel 4: 8 out of 10 cats: 1.27m (5.8%)

BBC 2: Gardener's World: 1.46m (6.7%).

Channel 5: Big Brother: 1.04 (4.9%)

Last night was "8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown", which has only been on for 3 years and is far superior to bog standard 8 out of 10 Cats. It wasn't just a normal show, that's why it got over a million viewers and beat BB..

Still shouldn't have beat BB.

1.04 for an eviction is terrible.
