What's this thing with people saying the show is destroyed when one person is evicted each week.

Tamara did nothing. Pauline had a few days of 'bullying' then stopped. Toya had 2/3 days of arguments then stopped. Matthew had one or two arguments and was rarely a vocal point of highlights. Now Ashleigh only messed around for 3/4 days to make sure Helen didn't get Ash saved... other than that the paintwork was more exciting than her before the week just gone.

None of them have been consistently in the limelight. Even in the case of Ashleigh prior to last week people said she was a bore...

For me none of them, expect maybe Toya, have defined the series. They are all characters in their own right this year and tbh, I want to see the dramatic ones out so we can actually see housemates having fun for once... negative drama does NOT make an amazing series.

But this time the housemate topping the popularity polls is in trouble. When your viewing figures have dropped below a million and people are fed up of the Helen show, and one of the few people who inspire positive feedback (albeit with negative) is looking likely to go out next, your show is in trouble. If Ashleigh is evicted next, all that is left is the 3 lads jumping into bed with the 3 girls. Utterly banal.

Popularity polls on fansites... and hardly any fans vote so it's hardly representative of the voting public as a whole.

Spot on. There seems to be a completely different demographic as between BB fans and BB voters.

They've been very accurate over the years. They were last year with the popularity of Dexter and Gina, and Sam later on.

The year before they always had Luke A, Deana and Adam doing well. Especially Deana. When they released the percentages that year

The year before that Aaron was a massive fave on the polls and people still refused to believe he would win because they though he was hated and the kids would vote for Jay.

I've watched BB for years. The polls are in general reflective of the viewers. That's why I found the eviction result last week so baffling.

I too was baffled that Matthew got more votes to evict than Ash!!! that was until I realised that Supercasino sponsers BB and the bookies made a killing when Matthew got evicted. Where there's money, there's an opportunity for dodgy dealings. And that eviction on Friday was a definite FIX

The phone votes are independently verified I believe. Had there been any leaks about who was leading the vote Matthew's odds would have changed dramatically.

It just was an anomaly imo.
