With regard to Channel 4's share- it is awful how much that channel has fell in the past few years. It used to be the best channel, now I watch like 2 programmes on it.

1st - Benefits Britain - 2.43m (same as first BB launch night!)
2nd - CSI - 1.91m
3rd - The Dog Rescuers - 1.58m
4th - Big Brother WED - 1.58m
5th - Big Brother FRI - 1.51m
6th - Big Brother MON - 1.36m
7th - Big Brother TUE - 1.33m
8th - Big Brother SUN - 1.31m
9th - The Hotel Inspector Returns - 1.23m
10th - Big Brother THUR - 1.19m
11th - Big Brother SAT - 1.18m

I guess ratings aren't where we'd like but lets take into account a few factors, for my daily 'ratings positivity' the thing this thread needs so much more of!

- Still in the top 10 (exc. Saturday's show)

- Beaten from the top 3 spots due to new and audience favourite shows (new shows released the same time as BB often have nowhere near as much luck at these higher ratings!)

- Everything bar the odd show is down on Channel 5 in terms of ratings.


- Channel 4's most watched show of the week was seen by 2.03m, 30th place took 0.63 million

- Channel 5's most watched show of the week was seen by 2.43m (1.58m for BB), 30th place took 0.66m.

^ Therefore Channel 5 is still competitive and for the week had overall higher ratings for the week.. despite C4 having shows beating C5 several times.


For those cynics out there who believe this series will be the 'end' and see the show being scrapped.. do you honestly think Channel 5 would scrap BB, which this week holds spots 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th, which equates to 6 more other programme episodes that would hit the same ratings as BB if it wasn't there.. I think not!

What happened most episodes are like 200k/300k down on the week before.

BB13: 1.54
BB14: 1.75
BB15: 1.41

Its going to have to slay in the ratings from now on or its going to be the lowest rated series of BB.

Also why have we still heard nothing from Viacom if they have already taken over now, maybe no news is good news.

I didn't post the official ratings because 4 of them don't include +1. Only three do. So that W5 official will be a tiny bit better (around 1.48m I would predict) but I expected the drop. That week was the lowest in terms of ratings, next weeks will be much better as that's when we got the 1.40m and 1.42m which look to reach ~1.8m.

But yeah, that was a poor week, so lets hope this can smash it! The recovery starts now!

Official series as of now is at 1.54m. So yes, it is the lowest rated, it needs to hit 1.60m+ to stop it from being the lowest. To be fair the officials released next week should help it as I predict around 1.6m officially for that week.

I do think it will drop, but the BOTS share and rating proved that even though online people were annoyed, they did stick around. So even if it drops to the 1.4m-1.5m region, it would be a great success.

Yep it is. However now I am hearing it was 1.55m excl +1 as they said on DS so with the 90k on +1 that would make it 1.64m instead of 1.61m?? Not sure yet.

Brilliant rating and well deserved. I know that guy who entered worked on a few things as an extra with him, im a bit jealous hes there not gonna lie lol.

Ive only just watched the episode as last night my toilet had an Armageddon, pipes burst and filled floors below with **** then someone who I don't like from another flat had to sleep on my sofa! Its like The Ring its coming into my home through the tv.

Brilliant rating and brilliant share and quite possibly our first 2 million come officials time.

On another note though I don't think you can add shares onto it using +1 that's cheating lol so the real share was 9.3%
